    Эффективность банковских и финансовых услуг в Объединенных Арабских Эмиратах с точки зрения использования технологических инноваций

    The paper’s goal is to determine the current state and trends of Fintech development in the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) financial sector, customer satisfaction with financial technology implementation in the banking sector, and the impact of financial technologies on the efficiency and competitiveness of financial and banking institutions. Qualitative research conducted through a structured questionnaire is designed to collect data from 500 banking service clients in the UAE. The data was collected through email communication and WhatsApp using Google forms. The data was evaluated using the Likert scale of five-point: 1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree. According to the survey results, the majority of respondents are familiar with FinTech services. The most demanded FinTech service was an app for financial management. Furthermore, the majority of respondents stated that the services they supplied were innovative to them, and the same percentage stated that they were pleased with the services given by their banks. Hence, better service associated with FinTech is seen as a major incentive for them to leave their current bank to the digital one. In addition, when selecting a bank, reliability is the most important criterion, with ease of use of its services ranking in second.Цель исследования — определить современное состояние и тенденции развития Финтеха в финансовом секторе Объединенных Арабских Эмиратов (ОАЭ), степень удовлетворенности клиентов внедрением финансовых технологий в банковском секторе и влияние финансовых технологий на эффективность и конкурентоспособность финансовых и банковских институтов. Исследование проводилось путем случайного распределения структурированной анкеты среди 500 клиентов банковских услуг в ОАЭ. Сбор данных осуществлялся посредством электронной почты и WhatsApp с использованием платформы Google. Для оценки данных была использована пятибалльная шкала Лайкерта: от 1 = абсолютно не согласен до 5 = абсолютно согласен. Результаты, полученные с помощью анкеты, позволили сделать вывод, что большинство респондентов знакомы с услугами FinTech. Приложение для управления финансами было названо наиболее востребованной услугой FinTech. Более того, большинство респондентов заявили, что предоставляемые им сервисы являются для них инновационными, и столько же респондентов заявили, что удовлетворены услугами своих банков. Таким образом, более качественное обслуживание, связанное с FinTech, рассматривается как основной стимул для них, чтобы перейти из своего нынешнего банка в цифровой. Кроме того, надежность является главным критерием при выборе банка, в то время как простота в использовании его сервисов стоит на втором месте

    PARAMETERS EFFECTS ON CONDUCTION-CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER IN RECTANGULAR ENCLOSURE SANDWICHED BY FINITE THICKNESS WALLS

    The effect of wall heat conduction on natural convection heat transfer in cavities has gained attention of many researchers in recent years due to its wide application areas in engineering such that building heating and cooling and thick enclosures , etc . In this work , we consider a two-dimensional numerical study of a rectangle cavity filled with an air with two vertical conductive walls of finite thickness . The enclosure is subjected to horizontal temperature gradient , the vertical boundaries are isothermal at different temperatures whereas the remaining walls are adiabatic .The theoretical study involved the numerical solution of the Navier-stokes and energy equations by using finite difference method . The stream-vorticity formulation was used in the mathematical model . The physical problem depends on five parameters : Rayleigh number (1000<Ra<1000000) , the Prandtl number (Pr=0.7) , the wall to fluid thermal conductivity ratio (0.1<=Kr<=10) , solid to fluid thickness ratio (0.5<=L1/L2<=1.5) , the ratio of (left or right) solid thickness to the height )(D=L1/H=0.5,0.6667,0.75) and the aspect ratio (H/L= 0.5,1,1.5) . The main focus of the study is on examining the effect of conduction in the wall on the natural convection flow .The results are presented to show the effect of these parameters on the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics

    The Role of Hyposthenuria in Enuresis among Paediatric Patients with Sickle Cell Disease

    Objectives: Enuresis in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) is common. Many risk factors have been postulated but its relation to hyposthenuria is debatable. This study aims to determine the prevalence of enuresis inchildren with SCD in Basrah, Iraq and to examine its relation with hyposthenuria. Methods: A cross-sectional epidemiological study was performed on children with SCD who met the inclusion criteria at the Basrah Center for Hereditary Blood Diseases over the period from the first of December 2020 through May 2021. A questionnaire was used to collect relevant data. Blood samples were tested for hemoglobin genotype, certain blood indices, and serum hemoglobin. Urine was tested for albumin and creatinine, and the specific gravity was measured using urine dipsticks. The relationships between enuresis and various sociodemographic and clinical variables were assessed. Binary logistic regression analysis was done to examine the independent risk factors of enuresis. Results: Out of 200 eligible children, 161 were studied after exclusion of 39 based on the exclusion criteria, yielding an 80.5% response rate, 60.9% of them were males. The mean age of the participants was 10.9 ± 2.9 years. Enuresis was reported in 50 (31.1%) patients. The independent risk factors for enuresis were; family history of enuresis (OR, 5.94; 95% CI, 2.54-13.89; P<0.001), hyposthenuria (OR, 3.76, 95% CI, 1.25-11.30; P= 0.018), and sleep disorders (OR, 2.90; 95% CI, 0.19-7.06; P= 0.019). Conclusion: Enuresis is common among children with SCD. Hyposthenuria was significantly associated with enuresis.     Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase Cooperates with the B Cell Linker Protein SLP-65 as a Tumor Suppressor in Pre-B Cells

    Expression of the pre-B cell receptor (pre-BCR) leads to activation of the adaptor molecule SLP-65 and the cytoplasmic kinase Btk. Mice deficient for one of these signaling proteins have an incomplete block in B cell development at the stage of large cycling pre-BCR+CD43+ pre-B cells. Our recent findings of defective SLP-65 expression in ∼50% of childhood pre-B acute lymphoblastic leukemias and spontaneous pre-B cell lymphoma development in SLP-65−/− mice demonstrate that SLP-65 acts as a tumor suppressor. To investigate cooperation between Btk and SLP-65, we characterized the pre-B cell compartment in single and double mutant mice, and found that the two proteins have a synergistic role in the developmental progression of large cycling into small resting pre-B cells. We show that Btk/SLP-65 double mutant mice have a dramatically increased pre-B cell tumor incidence (∼75% at 16 wk of age), as compared with SLP-65 single deficient mice (<10%). These findings demonstrate that Btk cooperates with SLP-65 as a tumor suppressor in pre-B cells. Furthermore, transgenic low-level expression of a constitutive active form of Btk, the E41K-Y223F mutant, prevented tumor formation in Btk/SLP-65 double mutant mice, indicating that constitutive active Btk can substitute for SLP-65 as a tumor suppressor

    Signal Modulation Recognition System Based on Different Signal Noise Rate Using Artificial Intelligent Approach

    Everyone has paid much attention to modulation-type recognition in the past few years. There are many ways to find the modulation type, but only a few good ways to deal with signals with a lot of noise. This study comes up with a way to test how well different machine learning algorithms can handle noise when detecting digital and analogue modulations. This study looks at the four most common digital and analogue modulations: Phase Shift Keying, Quadrature Phase Shift Keying, Amplitude Modulation, and Morse Code. A signal noise rate from -10dB to +25dB is used to find these modulations. We used machine learning algorithms to determine the modulation type like Decision Tree, Random Forest, Support Vectors Machine, and k-nearest neighbours. After the IQ samples had been converted to the amplitude of samples and radio frequency format, the accuracy of each method looked good. Still, in the format of the sample phase, each algorithm's accuracy was less. The results show that the proposed method works to find the signals that have noises. When there is less noise, the random forest algorithm gives better results than SVM, but SVM gives better results when there is more noise

    Association of Rift Valley fever virus infection with miscarriage in Sudanese women: a cross-sectional study

    Background Rift Valley fever virus is an emerging mosquito-borne virus that causes infections in animals and human beings in Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Outbreaks of Rift Valley fever lead to mass abortions in livestock, but such abortions have not been identifi ed in human beings. Our aim was to investigate the cause of miscarriages in febrile pregnant women in an area endemic for Rift Valley fever. Methods Pregnant women with fever of unknown origin who attended the governmental hospital of Port Sudan, Sudan, between June 30, 2011, and Nov 17, 2012, were sampled at admission and included in this cross-sectional study. Medical records were retrieved and haematological tests were done on patient samples. Presence of viral RNA as well as antibodies against a variety of viruses were analysed. Any association of viral infections, symptoms, and laboratory parameters to pregnancy outcome was investigated using Pearson’s χ² test. Findings Of 130 pregnant women with febrile disease, 28 were infected with Rift Valley fever virus and 31 with chikungunya virus, with typical clinical and laboratory fi ndings for the infection in question. 15 (54%) of 28 women with an acute Rift Valley fever virus infection had miscarriages compared with 12 (12%) of 102 women negative for Rift Valley fever virus (p<0·0001). In a multiple logistic regression analysis, adjusting for age, haemorrhagic disease, and chikungunya virus infection, an acute Rift Valley fever virus infection was an independent predictor of having a miscarriage (odds ratio 7·4, 95% CI 2·7–20·1; p<0·0001). Interpretation This study is the fi rst to show an association between infection with Rift Valley fever virus and miscarriage in pregnant women. Further studies are warranted to investigate the possible mechanisms. Our fi ndings have implications for implementation of preventive measures, and evidence-based information to the public in endemic countries should be strongly recommended during Rift Valley fever outbreaks

    Immunoglobulin expression in the endoplasmic reticulum shapes the metabolic fitness of B lymphocytes

    The major function of B lymphocytes is to sense antigens and to produce protective antibodies after activation. This function requires the expression of a B-cell antigen receptor (BCR), and evolutionary conserved mechanisms seem to exist that ensure that B cells without a BCR do not develop nor survive in the periphery. Here, we show that the loss of BCR expression on Burkitt lymphoma cells leads to decreased mitochondrial function and impaired metabolic flexibility. Strikingly, this phenotype does not result from the absence of a classical Syk-dependent BCR signal but rather from compromised ER expansion. We show that the reexpression of immunoglobulins (Ig) in the absence of the BCR signaling subunits Igα and Igβ rescues the observed metabolic defects. We demonstrate that immunoglobulin expression is needed to maintain ER homeostasis not only in lymphoma cells but also in resting B cells. Our study provides evidence that the expression of BCR components, which is sensed in the ER and shapes mitochondrial function, represents a novel mechanism of metabolic control in B cells

The prognosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) depends on different markers, including cytogenetic aberrations, oncogenic mutations, and mutational status of the immunoglobulin (Ig) heavy-chain variable (IGHV) gene. The number of IGHV mutations distinguishes mutated (M) CLL with a markedly superior prognosis from unmutated (UM) CLL cases. In addition, B cell antigen receptor (BCR) stereotypes as defined by IGHV usage and complementaritydetermining regions (CDRs) classify ∼30% of CLL cases into prognostically important subsets. Subset 2 expresses a BCR with the combination of IGHV3-21-derived heavy chains (HCs) with IGLV3- 21-derived light chains (LCs), and is associated with an unfavorable prognosis. Importantly, the subset 2 LC carries a single-point mutation, termed R110, at the junction between the variable and constant LC regions. By analyzing 4 independent clinical cohorts through BCR sequencing and by immunophenotyping with antibodies specifically recognizing wild-type IGLV3-21 and R110-mutated IGLV3-21 (IGLV3-21R110), we show that IGLV3-21R110-expressing CLL represents a distinct subset with poor prognosis independent of IGHV mutations. Compared with other alleles, only IGLV3-21∗01 facilitates effective homotypic BCR-BCR interaction that results in autonomous, oncogenic BCR signaling after acquiring R110 as a single-point mutation. Presumably, this mutation acts as a standalone driver that transforms IGLV3-21∗01-expressing B cells to develop CLL. Thus, we propose to expand the conventional definition of CLL subset 2 to subset 2L by including all IGLV3-21R110-expressing CLL cases regardless of IGHV mutational status. Moreover, the generation ofmonoclonal antibodies recognizing IGLV3-21 or mutated IGLV3-21R110 facilitates the recognition of B cells carrying this mutation in CLL patients or healthy donors
